A Recipe for Wood Butter

Show your spoons some love.

I made this wood butter to keep my wooden spoons shiny, smooth and protected from moisture!

Ingredients:

  • Equal parts beeswax and your choice of either mineral oil, refractionated coconut oil, or Mahoney's Utility Finish walnut oil. A little goes a long way, so I only used about 1/2 cup of beeswax and 1/2 cup walnut oil for mine.
  • A few drops of essential oil.

In a pot on the stove, gently, slowly heat beeswax until melted. Add your choice of oil and stir to combine. Add a few drops of essential oil to make it smell yummy! Pour into a small sealable glass jar. Rub all over your wooden utensils with a cloth or your fingers...works just as well on your skin as on your spoon!
