It's peach season

Marian made a sweet little pie server, and so...peach pie baking commenced! We have to test our wares before releasing them to the masses, after all. It passed. More are in production. We're thinking of having "serving" be the theme of our next batch of in pie servers, serving spoons, serving boards, etc. Might be a good holiday shop update. We'll see!

A Recipe for Wood Butter

Show your spoons some love.

I made this wood butter to keep my wooden spoons shiny, smooth and protected from moisture!

  • Equal parts beeswax and your choice of either mineral oil, refractionated coconut oil, or Mahoney's Utility Finish walnut oil. A little goes a long way, so I only used about 1/2 cup of beeswax and 1/2 cup walnut oil for mine.
  • A few drops of essential oil.

In a pot on the stove, gently, slowly heat beeswax until melted. Add your choice of oil and stir to combine. Add a few drops of essential oil to make it smell yummy! Pour into a small sealable glass jar. Rub all over your wooden utensils with a cloth or your just as well on your skin as on your spoon!
